Why Wallaby & Wattle?

When choosing a name for my healing work, I wanted it to mean something, reflect my chosen home, respect the lands on which I live and work.

Wallaby, fauna, the spirit of which connects the earth and the fire, resilient, strong, and helps the healing processes by connecting to your sense of self, your purpose. It’s the solar plexus chakra in essence, aligning your personal power, your identity, your true self.

Wallabies hold their secrets inside, nurturing, and instead of becoming tougher when the world turns dark, they go within and nurture their treasures. Until it’s time to set them free.

The Acacia, or Dune Wattle, flora. Useful, healing, abundant, true to its environment. The Indigenous people of Australia have for as long as time, used various parts of the wattle for a myriad of ailments and it’s hailed for it’s therapeutic and soothing effects on skin and soul (use a trusted Herbalist only, preferably an Indigenous person who is skilled in bushcraft).

Also, yellow, the colour of the solar plexus chakra, we start with you. We end with you. While it’s no more important than the other chakras (balance!), it is the first chakra I really FELT. It is where the seeds of this work took hold.
